How do I Export Data from VisionLink? – WesTrac Help Centre

This step‑by‑step guide walks you through the process of exporting data from VisionLink so you can analyse it in more detail, share reports with your team, and turn real‑time information into actionable improvements.

Step 1: Log In to VisionLink

Visit https://vl.cat.com and log in using your username and password.

Don’t have a VisionLink account yet? No problem—just reach out to your WesTrac Product Support Representative, and they’ll help you get set up.

Step 2: View Your Machine Usage

Click on “Utilization” in the menu on the left-hand side. This will show you how your machines are being used - including how much time they spend working versus idling.

Step 3: Choose What You Want to See

At the top of the Utilization page, you’ll find a dropdown menu that lets you explore different types of usage data. You can select a time range from just one day to up to two years and view information across your entire fleet. This helps you spot trends and make informed decisions

Step 4: Explore Idle Time and Fuel Use

After selecting the time period, you want to review, you can use the dropdown menu to view different types of data such as idle time and fuel consumption.

This helps you understand how your machines are being used and where you might be able to improve efficiency.

Step 5: Download and Customise Your Report

You can easily download a report by clicking the “Download” button.

Want to focus on specific details? Just click the gear icon next to the download button to choose the columns you’d like to include.

Step 6: Review Your Data in Excel

Open the downloaded Excel file to explore your machine data. You can look at individual units or view the performance of your entire fleet whatever works best for your analysis.
